Competences Center: Interfaces-Tribocorrosion and Electrochemical Systems (CC-ITES)

CC-ITES Center is an interdisciplinary research unit, without legal personality, operating according to the provisions of the Charter of the "Dunarea de Jos" University of Galati, the provisions of the Education Law no. 1/2011, of the provisions of the Government Ordinance no. 57/2003 on scientific research, amended and supplemented, observing the orders and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Research and of the National Council for Scientific Research in Higher Education on the organization of research units and the specific research-development-innovation activities in the higher educational institutions.CC-ITES assumes the mission to achieve:

  1. Effective development of scientific research and technological development in the field of Fundamental Engineering Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Domain - Advanced Materials Science and Engineering.
  2. Promoting scientific research in the mentioned fields, at regional level, with national and international collaborations.
  3. Development of human resources by supporting the master and doctoral programs.
  4. Providing scientific and technical support through technical consultancy, training programs, to Romanian or foreign industry companies, in order to increase the competitiveness of the products made.
  5. To support the continuous training of specialists in the above mentioned fields, according to the requirements of the labor market.

The CC-ITES Center has, as its main strategic objectives, the development, promotion, integration and correlation of the scientific research and technological development activity in the national and European research area in the field of Materials Science and Engineering, Science and Engineering of Advanced Materials by establishing research relations with the relevant universities and research laboratories in Romania and the European Union.CC-ITES has the following objectives:

  1. Proposing and conducting research through scientific research programs in current world directions in the field of Science and Engineering of Advanced Materials.
  2. To develop the research infrastructure of the Center in order to comply with the European standards.
  3. Supporting and offering scientific assistance to the undergraduates, masters and doctoral degree programs at the Faculty of Engineering, in the field of Advanced Materials Science and Engineering.
  4. Supporting the organization of local, national and international scientific events.
  5. Supporting CC-ITES members to submit applications for national and international research grants.
  6. Supporting CC-ITES members to publish scientific articles in recognized national and international journals and proceedings.
  7. Supporting the participation of CC-ITES members in prestigious scientific events organized in the country and abroad.
  8. Attracting foreign researchers through internship programs offered through international agreements and programs.
